Installing NEW Jet 4.0
NET commands to try this out....all ended up with the same error asking for MDAC 2.6 or later. Then I checked the versions of MDAC on this machine by searching msado15.dll and MDAC registries. I have two versions of MDAC, one is 2.7 and the other 2.52. But the MDAC current version on the machine is 2.7.

The reason why is because the method of reverting to a previous MDAC version rarely works and the only sure fire way of doing it is to reinstall the operating system.
